Donations to the Academy

The Georgia Academy of Science, which promotes science education and research in the state, was organized in 1922 and incorporated as a nonprofit entity in 1953. The Academy publishes the Georgia Journal of Science and holds annual scientific meetings that emphasize the presentation of undergraduate and graduate research. You or your organization can assist these efforts to promote STEM education in Georgia with your financial support.

Donations can be made via check made out to “GA Academy of Science” and sent to the Treasurer of the Academy, or you can donate online by using the form below.

Contact the Treasurer for the process required for other types of donations (e.g., stocks, bonds, real estate). The Academy will provide a receipt for tax purposes.  Please keep the Academy in mind during estate planning.

As the GA Academy of Science is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization, gifts to the Academy are fully tax deductible up to the extent permitted by law.

You can obtain further information about the Academy from our President, or by consulting the Academy Constitution and By-Laws.
